Stock intake=Check engine?

well... my one of the seals on my CAI broke the other day so i took it out and put in the stock intake back in while im repairing my CAI.

here is the problem:
when i put the stock air intake in the check engine light turned on after the engine was warm.?.

whats up with that? im hopeing it will go away after i put the CAI back on.
what could cause the check engine light to come on?

just make sure you plugged all the sensors in all the way. There is nothing more to suggest.

or how about disconnect battery for couple of hours?

all the plugs are all the way in, i tried disconnecting the battery for about a minute and it reset the computer but the light came back on when the engine was warm. ill probably have the CAI back on this weekend, hopefully that will solve my problems. i hope there isn't something else wrong with my car.
