It will work, but since you can get a MAC immatation CAI off ebay for under $50, why would you want to?

Now if you were talking about a home made ram-air, thats a different story.

the pvc was too big. I might just return the parts and get me a cai off ebay though

If you want you could do what I did and buy a mac CAI kit then take apart one of your fog lights and run pvc piping through that onto your filter for ram air, works good, awsome response on h-way.

here is a custom setup I made using both fog light openings a few years back, I made a complete write up on it.

I made a ram air CAI for my stang out of 5" dryer flex-duct. The hardest part was attaching it to the foglight opening.

I poked a couple holes and used zip-ties... you?

At first, I used metal duct tape which lasted a few months. Then I used bolts and washers through the duct and bumper opening, but the duck ended up tearing where the bolts went through. Now I have it secured with RTV so we'll see how long that lasts. The PITA with the dryer duct is that it is coiled aluminum segments so that when you pull hard enough on one, it just unwinds. I'm going to have to find a better flexable duct eventually.
As far as wether or not it works, I have found marble sized rocks at the filter. with the way the hose is nearly vertical between the opening and the filter, there has to be some decent air velocity to push something that size/weight up that high. ;)

I'm going to pick up a cheapo ricer boost gauge and tap it into my air cleaner housing just to see if there's any pressure rise at 100 mph. I have a feeling it might be .25 psi... if that... but that's still better than the engine having to suck the air itself. I've just wanted to know. I have to take the cai/ramair out before the PA winter, or I'll be cleaning Ice out of my K&N.

Cool. I've often thought about doing the same thing. There is definately a noticable difference having thir ram air on, it would be cool too see just how much it's actually doing.

If I'm blasting through the gears, It definitely picks up hella-hard between 70 and 90 in 3rd, and all of 4th. It didn't do that before, so I'm pretty sure the ramair works.
