I decided I wanted to paint stuff after I had everything taken apart for my headswap. So the brackets are out of the car, which is probably making this stuff that much harder... but maybe it's cause I am too weak :D I just don't want to break anything (else)...

edit: blah blah blah power steering pulley was just SUPER tight. bolt on pulley on the end of the tensioner is reverse threaded. blah blah

Does the tensioner come off of the bracket by using that torx headed bolt in the center of it? Or is there some other way?

thanks

the belt tensioner arm is bolted on with a T-55 torx head bolt.

you only need a T-55 torx bit to remove it, and maybe a little breaker bar. it has some tq on it.

:( Yep, T55. Is it threaded the normal direction? Righty-tighty lefty-loosy? I couldn't get it to budge with an 18 inch breaker bar or with electric impact. I soaked the back and front of it with PB lube stuff.

I will let it soak and then go buy a torch if that doesn't work.

Thanks
