installing tranny rear seal

after removing the driveshaft and installing a new rear seal, the driveshaft doesn't want to go into the tranny, can i use a wood block on the other end and hammer it in? also, do i need to lube up the yoke for the new seal?

It should still slide in, maybe they gave you the wrong seal? same driveshaft? is it a stock 94-95 AODE trans?

it was the seal, i guess during the installation i must of damaged the seal, and the driveshaft wasn't sliding in easily. PIcked up a new seal, installed it, and no problem with driveshaft this time
