wanna lower my car but no $$$$$$$
think it would be safe to chop it down a couple inches??

You can but I think just about everyone here will say stay away. It will really hurt your ride and your car will constantly bottom out....possibly bending suspension parts....

If you just gotta do it....
-A grinder will work.
-A hacksaw will work if you buy one of those blades that are encrusted with tungsten carbide grit.
-A dremel with a "cut-off" disk will work.
Just be sure you keep the spring fairly cool. You don't want to heat it up to the point that it loses its temper.

Yeah, the last springs I was working on lost thier temper and killed my dog. images/smiles/icon_eek.gif images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
