Finally made it back stateside late Friday night. Take the car out for a spin and everything is good and it did feel good to finally drive my baby again.
Anyway, I dropped the top this morning and my back glass just shattered. Has anyone replaced the glass themselves? I can buy it for $225 shipped, which includes the curtain.
If you did replace it yourself, how difficult was it. Or I can just try it myself and if it does not work just take it some where to get it done.
Thanks,
Keith

Mine did that too on my 94 Vert. The cause was that the seatbelt holders that sit over the rear seats were not seated properly, so the glass came down on it and cracked. Other than that, you might have left something back there mistakenly.
Don't even try to replace it yourself unless you are an upholsterist or something. It should cost about 250 for parts plus labor to get it replaced, so just bite the bullet and get it done right so it doesnt leak. Most regular glass shops will not do it, you need to go to an automotive upholstery shop.

Replacing a convertible top is not hard, but it is a TON of work. You MAY be able to have a shop attach the new glass to the old fabric, which would be really quick and cheap. However, the glass usually comes with the fabric attached to it, requiring you to take off at least the back half of the top.
In either case, you're probably best off leaving it to a pro.

I agree with Dutch.

Let the "pro's handle it"
I was considering replacing the top myself and after looking at the work involved it was better to leave it to the professionals. You really don't want to tackle something like this! Especially after you have dropped the coin for it then install it yourself and it looks "OKAY" but not "GREAT".

The top is fine people, I just have to replace the window curtain.

Yes, but unless you can detatch the glass from its fabric, you have to remove most of the top to be able to get to the window.

The rear window is cake. Not because I have a black window for sale :D , but because it consists of something like 6 bolts at the base and about 15-20 staples up top. Time consuming, but not brain surgery.
The window I have is out of a 99 top with black fabric
You can have it for $150 shipped if you're interested.

Its a long process. I did my 95 vert this last year. It shouldn't be too bad just replacing the rear curtain. I have done two of them now, and their pretty good, except i got the alignment wrong on one and now I have to take it apart and ajust it. I recommend an electric staple gun , makes it go alot faster.
If you are going to do it , take the curtain out don't cut it out, and then lay it on the new curtain and mark the holes. this makes the whole project alot easier.
Just to straight forward it is time consuming, not impossible though.

Thanks to Georonimo for the window. I paid for it last Thursday and it got to me on Tuesday.
I just got done with the install, it was a piece of cake. Only took me 2.5 hours to do it also. Didn't have to remove none of the top too. Just had to remove half of the liner.
