Winding noise

So I put in a new 8.8 with 3.73s and a new aluminum driveshaft. Now I am getting a winding noise from the rear when i go over 20 mph. I s there a break in period for gears , unti l they quiet down , or what else is wrong. Any help much appricated? Thanks

They shouldn't make any noise. It sounds like the gear lash is not set up properly.

mine didnt whine during break in. i do get a loud klunk sometimes because of loose backlash.
