so someone cut my kick panels opened and jammed
speakers in there. it's been like that the
entire time i've owned the car. well now i have
a 5speed and i kick the panel (read: speaker) a
lot more now... i have some bare panels i'm going
to put in and maybe a dead pedal. but i need to
relocate the speakers.
i won't be cutting my doorpanels and putting them
in there until i get a real head unit and real
speakers, so i was going to pop the dash and
throw the speakers in the factory speaker holes.

it should be securely mounted... any objections
besides you'll tell me to just cut my door panels
which i won't do

hmmmm, im not sure where the speakers are mounted in the hatch but in our old 83' vert you can put 3 1/2" speakers in the dash and 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 in the door panels ( on the back corner by the rear passenger.) thats the best i can tell ya man

btw, since you and cobra brat are the few carb'd v6's, i was wondering how hard a 302 swap would be. I've never seen it discussed before. Im sure most of the parts could be removed from a 79-86 junkyard carb'd GT. (k-member?)

it'd drop right in. any 5.0 from 79-95. no kmember
changes would be needed. as long as it's carbed
into carb it's pretty much a direct swap if you
have all the accessories, etc.
