spare tire wheel with hwy use tire

Has anyone used these wheels for the strip with a good street tire. What were the pros and cons of there use? the spare only weights 21#'s 10 less than what I have

yeah i have a pair of the aluminum spares with two 195r15 tires on them, drive to the track with em and drove back from the alabama race since i lost my wheel lock.

yep i used those for about two yrs. i used Funtrua tires from pep-boys. they are the same tire that the Old bugs use. they used to have a Sport tire in teh same size too.(higher speed rating)
