Yup, finally got the car back, with the motor rebuilt after my timing chain broke earlier this summer. Took a while, had to get a new cam, lifters etc, nd had a couple of minor issues on the way like push rods.

But, the car is done and the motor is running very nicely, the guys at D&D Performance in Ottawa did a very nice job.

My new cam is 222/226, 114lca and it seems to idle quite smoothly, seems a little less lopey than my olsd 215/224 cam was.

The pushrods part was that they ended up replacing the pushrods with something just a little longer, which has gotten rid of a bunch of valvetrain noise that used to bug the crap outta me - nicely done on their part.

I'm still running a fairly mild break in tune for now. I'm gonna try to get it somewhere local to me that I can check a/f etc and tweak if necessary, then run the mild tune for a few miles. Once I've put on few miles, we'll see about a new tune for both the cam and the w/m inj. that I put on last yr.

Just happy to have the car sitting in my garage and being able to drive it a little before the winter.

Good to hear. Does the rebuilt engine perform significantly better than the old one? I know you were having some underperformance issues.

Well, it certainly seems to run a lot smoother than before, but as of yet, I really haven't done any hard driving - keeping the rpms below 3500 for a while. It should perform better with the bigger cam and once I get the w/m inj running and a new tune. I'm really hoping to be over 400 rwhp wih this new setup. Time will tell, but i got 364 with my previous setup and no w/m.
