I just started installing boost, oil pressure and water temp gauges in my 2002 and im sort of in a stand still. Both oil pressure and water temp are electrical gauges and i have the sending units all installed and ready to wire. What is the best place to power these gauges in a 01+?? I tried the fuse box in the engine compartment but im not sure if thats the best idea.
I plan to power the lighting for the gauges via the light switch. Which wires do i splice?

I did a search but really only found information for pre 01 cars that usedtherear defroster as a power source. If i could get some help here it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have a rear window defroster?
It has everything you need.

Go to Autozone and purchase a mini add-a-circut, $8. Install it in socket number 1 under the dash on the drivers side which I think is the cigarette lighter.

i just bought the mini add a circuit.Im gonna use it to power the gauges. Being that the rear window defroster is in a different spot on my car, it kinda slipped my mind that it will still work, so i will wire the lights for the gauges there. thanks a lot for the suggestions guys
