Relocate EGR

I need to do something with my backyard mechanic EGR tube. I need to fabricate a new tube using parts of a Mustang tube and I'm thinking that I'd like to relocate the EGR at the same time to make things more accesible for hook up etc plus the new blower I have on order has a larger case and there may not be any room against the firewall to keep the EGR where it is now.
Would there be any problems with relocating the EGR about 6" away from the stock location at the intake?
(before anyone says it,, I don't want to delete it)

I can't believe you can even get the EGR to work, that some tight space back there, I can't imagine what its gotta be like with a MP inlet and blower. As for relocating it I dont' see a huge issue cause your still recirrulating exhaust gas, its just a bit farther down the exhaust thast all, its notlike the exhaust will be that much cooler a few inches away.

Actually I was tinking of moving it closer to the exhaust. Above the exhaust/beside the engine where there is quite a bit of room and making up a tube that will go from the egr to the mainfild.
