Long story short, sold my old engine before i installed new one.....I am looking for the bolt size for the headers. I know they are stud bolts and I need 12 of them. But the ford dealer wants 120$ for 12 of them and I heard that some people just use stainless for ALOT less.

Does anyone knoe what size I would need? I kinda need them fast. We are ready to install the engine and don't want to have to install the headers after

Go to a motorcycle shop and purchase flanged 8 mm bolts. Taylor mentioned the length.

Thanks. So they don't have to be the stud bolts? Just a normal flanged bolt?

you don't need to use studs or stud bolts.

if you can't find flanged heads you can just used regular ones with washers

Stage 8 makes a good locking header bolt.

Go down to your local Lowes, they have stainless metric bolts. You could also get some socket cap bolts in a hardened bolt with a lock washer which would probably work as well. Plus the socket caps would have better clearance.

You can get 6 mm flange bolts from a motorcycle shop. Think they are 20 or 25 mm in length.
