p.s. in the last pic you can kinda see my g/f's 92 celica gt convertible which has been my mode of transportation the last 2 days!

ok well the 8.8 is under the car any tips to lining it up? i'm havein some trouble

Get a helper...that would make life a lot easier if you're by yourself.

As far as lining it up... jack the rearend up and wrestle w/ it. Get the uppers connected first then its easy.

Im putting in my 8.8 on the 7th of july. Any hints. Im hoping to get it done in a day. I got 2 helpers so it shouldnt be too hard. Any problems you ran into?

i got one upper on but the drivers side is now given me problems! lol this shit is kickin my ass!

gonna go wrestle with it!

lol and yeah i did all the work by myself so far so i think i can finish!

um brake bolt are a bitch don't strip em!! and that lil bolt inside the axle is on tight so don't strip that!

i had to buy a craftsmen bolt extrator kit and they came right off though!

other then that its not to hard at all!

Thanks. The guy thats helping me has already done this once so hopefully it wont be too bad. He put it in his 97 stang. Im also changing upper and lower control arms to aftermarket ones at same time.

well everything is in and ready to go except for the brakes!

i believe i have to have a special tool for them! but i gotta go to work so i have to drive a 92 celica for a few more days!

i got a ticket and now i'm not sure how i'm going to get the gears swapped in so that i can put the new rear on. :(

ok well got that tool from pepboys, and now everything is together and i allready tried it out on my block and made sure brakes work!

ok so only my speedo is of until i get my speed gear, right?

well what some item i should be careful of or do\?

yup, the gears go in this weekend, and the rear end a few days later. go to the v6power tech articles and the speedo gears you need are listed there. :clickboo:

and i don't know what you were talking about on the last line.
