nothing too exciting yet. hit a few bumps in the road. i got to replace a bunch of misc parts, redo some wiring for ease of use in the future, i have to send my fordchip back to get it reprogramed for the stock tranny and TC since i am not doing both right now.
one very wierd thing is i took apart the old engine. every sea, gasket, and bearing is perfect. i mean perfect. the engine looks great. a ton of carbon on the pistons and a ton of oil in the intakes but the shortblock it self is awsome. i guess with the boost from the 2.87 pulley i must have lifted the heads or something. that engine has 130,000 and is 8 years old and been through 2 head gaskets plus this one. the bearing look brand new. crank, rods, and pistons look great. cylinder walls are smooth. Ford did an excellent job.
also Mobil 1 oil is the shit. man everything where the oil was is soo clean. the crank is shiny, its great.
i hope this weekend to complete assembly the new enigne. aka install oil pickup, oil pan, timing chain, cover, waterpump, prime oil system, rotat engine many times by hand to ensure smooth operations
