Default Rebeccas car is on the dyno...

With the vortech kit. Its pullied like an aftercooled kit but I haven't put that on there yet.

10psi at 6000rpm with a 3.25" pulley. 300rwhp/308rwtq. still tuning.

its over 100* in here

i plan to add water inj, then a 2.87 pulley before the day is over

all pump gas today, i don't think any race fuel will be going in today

And Rebecca is ok with you turning a perfectly good daily driver into a strip car?

I am very excited about this. I not only let him, I encourage him.

When we met I was 17 and racing my car at Orlando Speed World. I was there with my dad.

Justin's the best thing that could have happened to a 17 year old girl racing a V6 Mustang.

Good..keep working on tunes for a vortech blown, water meth injected V6...ill be over with my car in a few weeks to reap the rewards of his experimentation

My Car started yesterday Need to replace a broken Vortech oil line, an o2 sensor wire and Break in the clutch..

And It might be a good idea to actually purchase an exhaust system .. She's running on open headers right now

Are those numbers ~300rwhp in line with what you were expecting at 10psi? I would think a little more out of that 4.0 SOHC? Are you playing it really safe on the timing? What's the stock CR is on those engines?

Well with the 2.87 pulley 14psi at 6000rpm, 325rwhp at 12* of timing 11.5 a/f. Air temps get kind of high, so I don't want to push timing. They are around 175F. Even with the 3.25 pulley they are around 160F so I only run 14* at 6000rpm.

We are plugging in the snow kit right now with a 225ml nozzle. 175ml is fine at 10psi but too small at 14psi.

Later this week I will get the aftercooler on. Along with a powerpipe which will hopefully get me another psi.

Still has single exh too with a GT muffler, gotta get duals on it.

About or slightly better than what i was expecting. You can't expect much when the ambient temp is over 100F and the compressor is non intercooled. The 300rwhp at 10psi was without water inj. I sprayed a little water/meth into it and brought down air temps, but a few more degrees of timing only yielded a few HP.

Stock CR is 9.7

Final #s for tonight are 340rwhp and 335rwtq. Tomorrow I am going to disconnect the Y pipe, check the tire pressure, measure the restriction in the inlet hat, and figure out how to truncate torque in 1st gear. It still has an open 7.5.

awsome! that rocks

and 10psi unintercooled on shitty exhaust and high ambient temps is GOOD! an intercooled procharger with exhaust on a split port gets about the same.

looking good justin.

and grats on the boos rebecca, im sure you'll love it

Yea, it really needs some cooler intake temps. Without the w/m you really didn't gain much going from 10 to 14 psi.

Looks like i've got to do a little bit of catching up before the next race.
Thats some good #'s. Do you think you'll be able to go higher with the sohc like maybe 6.5 or 7 with a stock or upgraded valvetrain?

On 14psi, 10-12* with no water/meth, 15-16* with water meth, this is at 6000rpm and peak boost.

It doesn't make power past 5500rpm.

wow sweet...

thanks for the info.. I know if you can get the air temp down
even more you'll pickup a bit more power .. but even so ..
that is real sweet numbers ..

Thats some good #'s. Do you think you'll be able to go higher with the sohc like maybe 6.5 or 7 with a stock or upgraded valvetrain?
Haha, Daniel Iwill always be faster than you, now! And I have the better R/T too!

damn I am gonna have to find a better rental car next time too, that stock automatic is not gonna do the job next time. Maybe that Hertz special edition mustang, although it will be a V8 it will be closer in HP to your V6
