and just to let everyone know Kirks old heads the gaskets do seal. its hard as heck to tell in the pic. but in person you can see they do. granted he should have finsihed them out alot more. i am not sure what was up his butt. and after that set he never did anymore like that.

AHH damm thats was the Delk Heads ...damm I had first thought it was that
other shop in Canada that did that crappy ass head job.. did not know it was
Delk vs SSM you would think that they would do anything to put this
behind them, and let everyone know how much better they are now etc..

Yes you would think they would want to save their reputation.
Especially how people use the internet to research before buying.

that was my thought as well. the longer this drags out the more it is going to be talked about in a more negative way.

and to be honest it is going to be awhile before they outlive this. for the fact that no one is going to want to go through all of this, period.

Thumbs down

x2 its getting to the point where its not just about heads .. its about quality
of service for anything they do and sell .. shit happens and the way you
take care of issues is what determine if you are any good to deal with, buy from etc..

this is getting crazy!! and so damm sad!! suck!! that DelkPerformance would do this to
anyone!!

Delk is on my shit list until this issue is resolve!!

Don't know yet, but as soon as we are there I will definitely post up the results. Offer #1 I rejected. So I'm waiting for the next one.

I am finding some interesting reading on other forums about them.

Would it be out of line to ask what offer #1 was? Like many of you I have done business with delk and have found matt to be a first class stand-up guy. After reading this thread however, I am becomming wery of including delk in my future plans.

Keith's guess above is very close.

There is just so much that has happened in the last two years from there that is not related to Matt that is unbelievable.

So far I am the only one really speaking out.

I agree , Matt is a good friend and he did not build either of my engines , in fact on the third engine I asked Matt to get the guy that built his bottom end to do mine I was willing to pay any additional cost I just wanted it right , they refused , Matt was all for the Idea .

x2 .. I have deal with Matt on a few things in the pass and he is one stand up guy ..
I post in another thread how hard it is for him working at Delk and be part of the
Community, he is in a bad spot but we all know he does not have anything to do
with the v6 motor builds, funny the one guy that knows what he is doing is not
working on the 6.. crazy how Delk run their business ..

Wow I am really sad you are getting treated right by delk kirk....Sounds kinda like Matt is getting the shaft on this deal too. From what I read matt does not work on the v6's and that is his specialty....I am little confused....

I hope Delk steps up and fixes the problem kirk!

I also Matt does not get hurt out of this, I have talked to him numerous times on the phone and he is one stand up guy!

I have to agree with Matt.

Quite a big difference between Chris' experience and this one.

IMO you need to break the silence and set a date they need to have a reasonable answer or it goes to court. this is rediculous. it doesn't take a year or more to do what is right. and there is even a third party that points out the major flaws and how it wont work.

If he really wanted to help you and do the right thing it would have been done along time ago.

i hope you know your statutes of limitation on this one. most are years, but look how long this has already been stretched out. all he needs to do is work out something with you and then he can take awhile maybe to get it done, but you havent even gotten that far yet.

x2 sounds like Delk took care of biz the right way .. they should have not been
any major issues or complain with that one .. cause everyone knows sh!t
happens when dealing with aftermarket stuff, its the way the shop/person
help resolve the issues is whats important .. not the issues itself..

That was a good reslution on Delk part for that issue ..

Delk built a motor with crappy head porting
Motor failed due to crappy heads and other issues related to the engine build
Kirk spend LOTS of money for nothing
THey have offered a settlement which Kirk has declined which in a court of law states that they know there was a problem and all but admitted guilt with an offer (READ THAT RIGHT KIRK)
Kirk has been nice about it
Kirk is getting new motor elsewhere
Delk is loosing business due to their practices
Matt is in the middle and we all like Matt
