How much space is there between the tie rod and the pipe?

Besides that it looks awesome.

They are going to crank it , drive it around a bit to make sure everything clearances ok and no leaks then we will send it off to get coated.

Ooooooweeee. That's looking nasty. But in a good way. Now if you don't like it, I have first dibs to buy it.:D

3 questions:

What rate springs are you running on the front?

Where'd the ac go?

PS delete as well?

Wish I could find the time to fab a kit for myself.

looks good Gary. Question - why are you running the exhaust downt eh passenger side? We were going to do that as well but the tranny tunnel alows more room on the drivers side to tuck the pipe up higher, thats why we decided to cross over under the tranny and tuck it up a little higher, plus its away from the fuel lines that run down the passenger side ofthe tranny tunnel. From the looks of it your exhaust pipe sits even lower then ours thats whyI ask.

The new pics are smaller which makes them easier to look at, might want to resize the first few pics so people don't have to scroll across to look at them, I ahve a 21 inch monitor and still have to scroll. :)

My gas lines run down the drivers side would so thats probably why they went the passenger side , remember I have up grades fuel lines because of the fuel cell and the Aeromotive pump .

ahh ok, good idea running it on the opposite side then, I wonder why they put the fuel lines down the drivers side as opposed to the passenger which is stock. Not that its a big deal though. Can't wait to see mroe pics.

reason i am asking is i am at that stage where the T-5 isnt holding quite so well and am going to have to change it out or have it build eventually. So that's why i was wanting your opinion.

im looking at the TKO-500 myself, just cause the T-5 guy said that they arent worth sticking with if your car is running my power or more.

thanks.

The case is a stock T-5 case or can get a beefed up version of the case . The gear set is different and Much stronger . The helical cut is more friendly for DD but the gears are weaker . The dog ring gears are thicker and much stronger and don't cause the side load like the helical gears do but the dog ring is not a friendly DD.
I may have to upgrade in the future , I'm going to see what this tranny can do first , I really like it because its clutchless after the initial launch .

the dog ring style as opposed to helical cut is just a noise factor, it doesnt make it any harder/less hard to shift them. They just whine more. All reverse gears are dog ring, and you know the whining sound every car makes in reverse, even automatics. Thats the dog ring whine.

Helical cut gears have syncros , the dog ring in mine is a straight cut gear with NO syncros , hence the thicker gear so it is unfriendly as a DD .

;) You lucky basss...teerr***!

Very nice. Good looking intake as well. Is that 3" or 3.5" pipe? No cruise...awww.. Haha.
How does that IAC work...is the inlet before and oulet right behind the throttle flange?

Great man.

Looks like you'll be launching in second with that baby.

It's 3.5" from the intercooler to the intake the TB has a V-band welded to it , the intake neck is behind the flange for the TB

Smart way to go with the v-band. Looks great man. I'm still gonna bet you once I get a turb. Haha. Well. Who know's how long that will be. Very impressive. Glad to see your going all the way.
Be sure to keep the boost high, so your tb stays happy. :D

the tubes still have rubber from turbo to intercooler(small steel tube section). then one rubber connector out of the intercooler to the MAF. then off the MAF to the TB it has v-bands and alum tubeing.

solid mounts are not needed. but i am gonna make some spacers and weld them in. and might put a tq limiter on it too.

is that ID size 90mm or the outer (OD) size 90mm?

looks badass .. I see you are using a V-band? did you use a gasket?

Just an update many of you know I had engines problems soon after the turbo went on
so now the engie has been completely rebuilt with all new parts , the engine is back in the car and ready to be cranked , Andy is finishing up the roll cage and they should be cranking her back up last this coming week .
The plan is to break her in again using 93 octane for 300 or so miles then do a 15 Psi tune , if it is sealed up and we have no problems we will put a feew more miles on her then put in the race gas and turn up the boost a little bit more . Stay tuned !!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully I can get matt to take a couple of pics of the Turbo set up with the coated pipes and some pics of the roll cage after everything gets put back in the car .

i feel the max pump gas boost for gary will be 15-18psi. 18 being the MAX his compression is like 9.2 or 9.3:1.

on my 8.2:1 engine 21-24 ROCKS on pump gas. but its alot safer at 19ish. lol.
